In Year 2 we have an exciting, eventful and knowledge rich curriculum which is designed to excite, motivate and challenge our children. Our classroom is a nurturing and supportive environment where children are encouraged to learn, love and live without limits. We aim to build resilient learners and promote a love of learning for all pupils.  In Year 2 we have high expectations of behaviour by following the school’s Golden Rules and we celebrate and praise positive behaviours.    

 

Important Information: 

Things we need every day:  

· Reading book and planner  

· Water bottle   

 

Our main PESSPA session is on MONDAY so PE kits need to be worn on this day.  

 

Homework:

On Mondays we get our new spellings for the week. Part of our homework is to learn them throughout the week ready for a spelling test on Friday.  

As part of our homework, we are expected to read at least four times per week at home. We ask that an adult signs their child’s planner so that our teachers can see that reading is taking place.  

Homework will be Handwriting, Spellings and Times Tables which will be set each Friday and is expected to be returned by the following Thursday.
