In Year 1 we have a fun-filled and action-packed curriculum to create an environment that we love to learn in! We have high expectations of our own behaviour, achievements and try our best in all we do. We provide the children with a well-balanced curriculum to aid a smooth and successful transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into KS1, to create an environment where we learn, love and live without limits.  

 

Important Information: 

Things we need every day: 

• Reading book and planner 

 

On Fridays we get our new spellings for the next week. Part of our homework is to learn them throughout the week ready for a spelling test on the following Friday.

As part of our homework, we are expected to read at least four times per week at home. We ask that an adult signs our planner so that our teachers can see that reading is taking place. 

 

Our main PESSPA session is on FRIDAY, so PE kits need to be worn on this day.
